Unfortunately this is one of those "it depends" situations. I suppose to a certain degree most parts between manufacturers are interchangable with a bit of work, but that's not to say one can simply take something out the box and slap it on another kit. You'd need to compare the new arm to that which you're replacing and see if it suits the figure. You'll most likely need to do a bit of resculpting though.

I guess i asked the wrong question. what i meant was if i purchase a set of heads from hornet or warrior will they fit proportionately on a dml or tamiya figure. I understand i may have to do some resculpting.

Ah, you're not kidding - totally different scenario!
Tamiya figures are traditionally much smaller than true 1/35 scale, which is what most of your resin figures are - Alpine figures in particular are true 1/35. So replacement heads would be oversized for them.
Hornet heads are, however, often used in conjunction with DML figures, and as you've no doubt seen the greatest weakness of DML figures is traditionally their faces.

Warriors work well with DML and some Tamiya figures. ESCI/Italeri and Academy figures run oversize, closer to 1/32. You can use Historex heads for these.
Cheers!
