Does anyone have a picture of an M123c tractor? Either kit or for real. Ithink I've been looking for this without knowing its nomenclature. I know the Tank workshop has a kit of it and I found a place to get it at a reasonable price, but Iwantto makesure it is truely what I am looking for. Hoping it looks like a large duece /5 ton with a 5th wheel instead of a bed. A picture of the kit would be perfect as well as an opinion if it's worth a buy or gonna just be a major headache. (I sure want a lot don't I...that's why I'm a general...LOL)

I don't have a picture handy, but I do have the Tank Workshop kit in various stages of assembly. Buy it with confidence - I feel it is a quality kit casting. Wonderful details - packed into every part. The M15A1 Semi-Trailer is a nice one too. It is a resin kit, so some experience in building kits in this media comes in handy. However, this is a decently engineered kit.

I think I might have taken some preliminary photos of the model I'm building - usually do - but I hadn't uploaded any to my website. Same with the icky Jaguar Sheridan...
I'll go home and rummage around the harddrive to see what I have and send them to you privately...

If you go to the ATAV transportation site and scroll down to Li'l Abner and heavy trucks you will see some photos of the M-123. I alo built this version of the Li'l Abner as it was when Rick Kouns was the driver. http://134.198.33.115/atav/default.html If you would like to view a photo of my model you can go to http://community.webshots.com/user/gtadw and go to the Variety album

I built the TW M123A1C tractor last year, and relied heavily on the article from an earlier issue of Military Modeleling in Review (MMiR). An excellant article that greatly amplified the very sketchy instruction sheet from TW.
Sabot, I wasn't aware of any trailer resin kit that would match the tractor. The DW M15 was too old a model trailer, and the A-1 trailer was used, but I didn't know one existed.
Yes, the truck does look like the 2 1/2 ton or 5 ton on steroids. The cab is the same as the smaller trucks, but hood, engine panels, especially those HUGE wheels, really tell that this is the BIG brother of the M-series truck. TW also makes the M123 10-ton cargo truck, which MMiR also (go figure!) did an article on.
The only regret I had about the M123A1C was trying to get all those wheels lines up straight. Still not 100% right, but I think I hit the wall finally, and had to accept what it came out as. One of the tradeoffs with a resin kit vs plastic, I guess!''

Thanks guys. Saw the pics from animal and the reviews from everyone that built one make this a must purchase. I am thrilled because this is the exact big truck i wanted....a tank hauler! I'll worry about a trailer later. I'm sure there is something out there, a vehicle hauler, tanker or flatbed.

Um, Gunnie here, not Sabot...
The M15A1 Trailer from TW is a rare beast. I had to get one off e-Bay, so difficult it was to find. But, exist it does...

My dragon wagon would cry if I took his trailer away, don't feel like buying another one of those just for the trailer, have to check ebay to see if they've got one cheap.
