Nothing like testing your patience. I struggle with figures as well. Looks like you are on the right track. Good job on the shading.

hi there ,
good first figures ,, let me first say mine were no where near as good . you have a good base colour and the shading looks good ,, at this point could i just offer a little advice that may help you , once you get the hang of it ,,, dry brush your high lights , this helps blend the colours ,,,and i would also install mike booms on the crew helmets , hope this helps ,, but keep up the fantastic work and you will soon be producing master peices ,,,keep sharing ,

Great work James!

The skin tones and faces especially are very good.
The only small feedback I would have would be to try and tone down the extreme highlight on the second figures fatigues. Right now its a bit stark. You could always blend this in with a light wash of the base colour watered down heavily. It should tone down the highlights a bit and blend the colours more evenly for you.

Really spot on though, especially for a first attempt! I wish my first figures were this good!

You've done a very good job with those figures, the soft detail must make highlighting quite hard. Skin tone on the face looks quite effective too.
