Hi all,

I'm still working on my HT M5. Now the front and the rear parts are glued

The specific bumpers are made with a piece of copper foil. The door is also already made but I'll add it later. It will be easier like that to hold the kit .

The closing system is different on a M5. The 2 mounts slide in a round chute ( I hope is the good term??? )

Just to get an idea. It's just put on the chassis.

I've just finish the 2 racks ( on on each side) I'll post the pics later....

Hi all,

just few pics before stopping for X Mas leaves.

The operators site is now finish. The technical manual don't say anything about this side except the mounting of the battery racks. So I kept 2 seats for the 2 radio operators and I also made a spare rack for all kinds of radio stuff.
I used Mr Surfacer500 to texture those seats.

I fixed the 3 aerial bases ( 2 x No 9 and 1 x No10 on the rear. The cable drum on the rear door come from a Resicast set.

I've quite finish to scratch build the power supply unit. I'll post photos asap

Nice work Piwi! This is a daunting subject. Will it be displayed with the Signals jeep in your Photo Gallery? How about the GMC truck relic, with the van body, appearing in the background of one of your photos--is this a K-60 van?

Very nice conversion Pierre.
Not many modelers would tackle such a project.

Hi,
Thank you both for your comments.

Rick, this half track M5 is a British radio HT. They were fitted with WS19 radio sets.
The jeep you saw in my gallery was used by US Signal units.

The old avn you saw on my photo is not a K53 nor a K60. It was used by Engineers for drawing maps. Unfortunately I haven't pics of it but I'll scan you something on tomorrow. I'll email you those
scans

There are some neat U.S. trucks featured on Maquette Garden--several GMC variants, Diamond T, International, Ward LaFrance--even a spectacular SCR-399 shelter! Nice, very nice, Piwi!

HI all,

That's it ! My HT M5 is now finished.
The 2 WS19 radio and the grey junction boxes come from Resicast. Everything else is scratch built ( batteries, Power unit, spare boxes, the other radio and of course the chassis)

As usual all constructive comments are welcome !
