i really like it. i think the gun strap is a little thick, but its not so bad that the figure looks bad. this is really nice work

Nice rendition James, go with previous comment on mg 42 sling being on the thick side, and it wouldnt be normal to have mp 40 pouches as part of his kit usually a side arm was worn / carried by mg gunners, apart from that looks good

regardless of the strap, this figure is amazing. i havent worked on a figure in a long time, but this one has given me inspiration to go at it again

Your german looks great. Can you please explain your technique in a few sentences? I´m particulary interested in how you have achieved the shadows? Have you used a wash or are they painted with oils?
