A lot of us are following the discussions about all the "problems" with the Trumpeter kit. If you REALLY want to get in the weeds on this thing, you might as well correct the underside details as well. I'm using Accurate Armour's 1mm PE letters and numbers for the cast on "80."

Rob,
Lets see your work... Although the detail shots of the real thing are good, some of us would like to see some pure unadultrated model porn, ya know, the naked plastic of the T-62.

John, you'll have to pardon the fact that the proportions are off-I'm limited by the fact that 1mm letters, while the smallest I could find, are still a little too big. My camera can see better than I can, so thanks to this photo I've gone back and corrected the width of some of the hash marks. As you can see I added some cast texture. With weathering it ought to "pop."
I'm also not happy with the bore evacuator. Even with the PE supplied in the kit it won't be right. Working on ways to correct it as well.
There are some pretty monstrous welds holding these things in place, not really clear in the photo. They'll come later.

Okay, odds are you're not going to be modelling the bottom of your T-62, but then, this is one of three on my drawing board...
If you do "feel the need" you can always use mirrors underneath, like the car guys. No point doing it if no one sees it.
The second T-62 is a derelict missing wheels, engine deck, and engine. For this one notice the detail around the missing bushings. Also note the position of the bump stops. The kit has them wrongly placed. On another forum the author tells you to remove, but doesn't say where to place them. Also notice the rectangular protrusion behind the first wheel station, totally missing on the kit:
If you leave the front fenders off, as a lot of us seem to, this detail is essential, as it will be seen - the bolts and reinforcements on the idler hub. One thing I didn't photograph which is a tad baffling - Trumpeter has left off the track pin wiper on the right side of the hull, yet remembered it on the left. Hmmm...
Now here's the corrected piece with missing bolts, mounts, and properly spaced bump stops.
Third and last T-62 in my foreseeable future - the one I drove in Afghanistan. Note old style T-55 wheel.

Guys,
any idea why these vehicles often seem to be missing their hubcaps?
