I have the new Tamiya Matilda and the TMD BEF backdate set. I'm looking at getting Friuls for it but a little confused on which tracks are the right ones for a BEF jalopy.

Good afternoon, Dean,
For a BEF–era Matilda, I think you should go for the (Friul ATL-71) “flat type” …
• Just take a look at Steve Zaloga´s article “ARRAS MATILDA” : if you look at the photos, you´ll match them with the “flat type” ones… they have the same shape… (( http://www.militarymodelling.com/news/article.asp?a=3747" TARGET="_blank"> http://www.militarymodelling.com/news/article.asp?a=3747 ))
And, indirectly…
• ( Expert ) Terry Ashley says in PMMS reviewing the BRONCO tracks that the T.D.5910 Type tracks are for “the later versions of the Matilda” (( http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/bronco/ab3531.html )) just read his “Introduction” & “conclusion”… so you shouldn´t use ATL-72…
This is what I´m able to tell you. Maybe someone with more objetively academic-data can bring more light…

Thanks for that. I've just been looking at the Bronco tracks and see there is also a flat type the same as ATL-71 so I'm thinking I might give them a go.
