Another Inprogess for me (and hopefully I could finish it).
Revell Crusader Mk III 1/35 (Italeri rebox)
And oh... I'm going to spice it up with these:
And finish it off with this
Started work just this 6 pm
Tied up
After 5 hours of work
I'm still looking for reference pictures and walkaround of this tank. I'm still running blind with regards to detailing this armor. Anyone got a pic of a heavily loaded Crusader?
Also, will these figs from Miniart work as tank crew? click here

Hi Ralph. Good to see you back modelling again. Donīt know if its because I have not been online so much or if you have been away, but Iīve not seen any models from you for a long time. Good start on the crusader. Sorry canīt help with references.

Hi! Long time no hear my friend. Yep, it's my fault. Been out of modeling for the past year. I think I had posted some WIPs but can't darn finish a thing. My latest was my 1/48 Eduard P-39L. You can check it buried under Aeroscale forums
Yeah... nice to be back.

Some updates:
Replaced these flaps with plastic cell cards (my first time using them)
Success
I also added a bit of mesh on the inside
Replaced the moulded on grab handles with wire
Vision slits are moulded shut. Cut them open
Success
This area lack some welds
Success
Replaced one out of four toolboxes with plastic card and foil
Another shot
That's all for now
Again, I'm building this kit blind. Would help if anyone had any sort of references. Basically I'm using pics of a Mk 2 model as reference.

No idea if this helps . . .

A long time ago I built the Italaeri 1/35 Crusader so I have a soft spot; my grandmother bought it for me so it was a really long time ago! I am liking your scratch detailing techniques.

More minor progress:
I preferred to replace this box
Here it is. Before and After. 2 more boxes to go
Started work on the turret interior
Upper turret
Lower turret
Viewed from the top
From the turret
That's all for now. Super glue is taking it's toll on me.

What ever happened with this build? It's looking nice so far...
I'm a beginner at this... I've built a couple of Tamiya kits so far, which went ok... but this one is just giving me so much trouble, I'm about ready to put it back in the box for "later"...

Partap,
What problems are you having withthe Crusader? I built one a long time ago and remember it went toigether pretty well, with no real problems. I have another in the stash, so if there are problems a few of use could help you with them.

The kit builds up to look like a Crusader, but is missing some details if you want an accurate model.
There is no exhaust outlet in the rear louvres.
The instructions have you putting tools and tow rope mounts on the wrong side of the vehicle.
The mounting brackets for the rear louvres are missing.
The front parts of the track guards have a step in them that is absent on the real thing.
There is no rivet detail on the hull side parts behind the wheels.
The tracks aren`t the best but are useable.
The air cleaners are missing detail as is the the area for mounting the jack blocks.
There are other bits too, but the PE set does address a lot of the missing detail and with some minor scratch work a decent model can be built.
Hope this helps.
