Inspired by a conversation about the new Dragon German kit about to be released I'd like to know what plastic Allied figs everybody would like to see released in plastic. Or share any news on upcoming or rumored kits. Here's my wishlist;
U.S. Tank crews (WWII) loading ammo, doing maint, screwing around, whatever, etc.
U.S. Tank Destroyer Crews.
Half-Track crews. A crew for the M16 multiple gun carriage would be outstanding!
US Soldiers at rest or other non-combat poses.
US Armored car crews.
US Artillery crews (know MB has one in the works).
US mechanics and engeneers.
Did I miss anything?

Stuff that's been neglected before, like early-war BEF, French colonial troops, Sikhs, Gurkhas, partisans, Siberian troops in winter gear, 1939 Polish infantry ...

Absolutely agree with Andrzej! A polish "Karpatian" Brigade soldiers from North Africa or Italy for example.

Early French soldiers and a lot more from smaller countries (Belgium, Netherlands etc.), also some Axies' forces on the Eastern Front that aren't German or Italian.

I dunno if its where I'm looking or going about this- but I'm having a hell of a time finding Normandy American and German Airborne kits that don't involve a lot of sitting around or standing..

I'd like to see a set of British/Commmonwealth Medics and a set of British Prisoners in the vein of the MB German Captive set with mixed orders of dress and a few with open Greatcoats and BD blouses. Could double as wounded soldiers or prisoners and be useable from Dunkirk, to N Africa and back again lol, lol.

I'd like to see some American GI's that are stateside or could be modified to look like they are at a stateside station. Also, I'd like to see GI's doing PT or even a Drill Instructor figure. And affordable; and plastic.

I would love to see some WW1 Americans. My grandfather was First Sergeant in a machinegun company, and it has always frustrated me a bit that I can't find a decent AEF figure.
I would like to see far more variety of US, French and Soviet troops. Miniart has been a godsend to the Soviet figure modeler, but there is still a long way to go. We have German figures doing everything but changing their socks, but try finding a really good plastic set of US tankers or ANY French figures. The recent Tamiya French 1940 ones are awful. French armor is incredibly colorful but there are only a few resin figures to go with them, and now two DML guys.
Italians are also lacking, which is kind of odd considering how many fronts (and sides ) they fought on. It is nice to see DML offering a few Infantrymen, but how about a few tank crew sets, say, one for North Africa, one for Greece/Albania, one for Jugoslavia/USSR ?
As for non-WW2 subjects, it'd be great to see more modern US stuff and modern 'irregular' figures such as PLO troops, former Yugoslavian forces, Afghans, etc. I am looking for a modern Bradley crew and the only decent options are resin.

One I've been wanting for years - U.S. (or any allied for that matter) troops lined up going through a chow line: 1 or 2 cooks serving food to 3 or 4 men with their mess kits out etc. The serving tables with hot food pans set on them, troops w/o weapons or weapons slung. You know the deal because we've all been there.

I second everything that has been said. Any resting US, Commonwealth or other allied figures are on top of my list though, together with Australians of any kind.
(and but if I may add, we could also use more Italian and Japanese figs as well...)
Cheerio!

Considering the number of "german" sets, I think that ANY allied set will be welcomed.

Any navy and air force figures to go with all those nice boats and planes we now have. Some more allied S.O.G. types like coast watchers with natives or commandos.

Here are a few images of figure sets I would like to see in PLASTIC. The accessories, such as 37mm gun or mortars, would be nice as well.

Theres gotta be thitry thosand German and Russian tankers in just about every pose except using the toilet. How about some US tankers for WW II . Did those tanks drive around all by themselves? Also agree with Grumpy....Would truly like to see some WW I stuff. US , French, Brits and of course Germans. But if they do come out with it , we will probably be overrun with Germans again. Better than nothing I suppose. ..............Al

Verlinden's "Things To Do" set.
Okay they're not tankers, but they're German.

Simply amazing..........Remind me not to get them though. Pretty funny actually. Still like to see some US tankers. How about fat guys, tall , skinny etc. Not all soldiers were muscle bound guys at six feet tall. Seems like most figures are of guys all the same size. Whats up with that?.......Al
