Any updates on this set from MB. Apart from 'Monty' I'm looking forward to these chaps.

Hey Al,
I agree, that pose of MB's 'Monty' looks exactly like a similar figure in Italeri's ancient Commonwealth Troops set.
The CAD picture's pose with the sweater and mug are almost identical, you got to wonder how similar the finished figure will be.
I have a number of those in my stash for nostalgia's sake !!!
Cheers

Hi John,
I am hoping 'Monty' will have disappeared when they come out as similar comments were made when the news was first posted.

I beleive MB has announced a lot of projects that are still in the making, including full-scale Allied gliders and JU-52s in 1/35th. I presume the lousy economy is holding them back on launching some of these.

Hey Al,
I somehow missed the original posting announcing this kit back on April 1st
Hopefully the fact that Tamiya's 'Monty' is very similar will encourage MB to change the figure in the kit.
I wouldn't mind seeing 'Monty' and additional brass hats in a British/Commonwealth Officers Briefing set.
What about a U.S. set too ?
There are certainly enough similar German and Russian sets available !!!
Cheers

Hi John,
I had simlar thoughts, there isn't a British Officers Briefing Set now is there!!
I think the original was an old Italeri figure from their tankers set?
