Hi guys, here is my latest diorama, the story is a Russian who has been scavaging for ww2 bits and pieces from the Russian country side, he has come back with yet more collectables. Nearly everything is scratchbuilt apart from the desk which is Verlinden. The locker is made from lego, yes lego! The freezer is made from plasticard. The ship on the shelf belongs to a Russian who has a passion for model boats.

I rather like the interior but not so much the exterior, and no I can't tell you why as I don't know myself. One observation you have what I believe is an air conditioning unit on the outside but nothing for it on the inside.

Nice idea Martyn and it looks really good. Lots of nice little effects like the vegetables and the posters and the stains on the floor. How about a few rusty german helmets?
Two things look out of place to me one is that he seems to be holding a Lee enfield- where would he get that? The other thing is that the corrugated iron on the roof should be at a 90 degree angle to the way it is. I've never seen a corrugate iron roof that runs crossways.
One other thing -bring the bike out to the centre of the floor to give the dio a focal point. It looks realkly good.

I agree with Darrin, something bout the outside of the building doesnt catch my eye. Also, I noticed the posters you have hanging in thier. Thier nice, but that call of duty poster in thier seems like it just doesnt belong IMO. Also, since the farm is in russia, wouldnt the KGB question him about all the german equipment, is he a closet nazi ?? lol
Maybe add some russian equipment ?? OR, some tracklinks as well as those ALWAYS seem to be in someones garage.
Overall, I like the idea behind it.

Hi Darren, thanks for the comment. Aha to be honest I spent that long on the dio I had totally forgot about the aircon unit, I will see what I can do to fix that.
Hi Pat! Thanks for the comment, I did not really think of that, my main thought was this guy was collecting all ww2 stuff, it had to get there somehow, sort of like how did all the stuff end up at the tank Museum? As for the roof, I did not realise the mistake untill it was too late! however there are a few pictures that google does throw up showing it going sideways.
Thanks Lou, yeah I will have a look at adding some more bits to the dio, I do have a Russian bike in the picture, but I will be adding something for the dead space, something small but Russian!
Thanks for the support guys, any more ideas feel free to chip in and throw your penny in!
