I saw an episode of The History Channel's Greatest Raids program a while back on the LRDG. They mentioned that the Germans tried to make a similar group with Abwehr (sp) personnel. I don't know German soft skinned vehicles that well but it looked a little like the Tamiya 1500 Steyr (sp?) I've seen on the shelves. Is this the correct vehicle? I was thinking it might be an interesting dio showing the competing LRDG units meeting.

they did have a commando unit in North Africa, it was very successful(much to the chagrin of the British). It was the Reg't. zbV 800 'Brandenburger'. They were not Abwehr, just very well trained Wehrmacht soldiers.
