I just had a look on Lucky models website and theres an advert at the top of the home page for some Chinese online vendor that are advertising the Italeri M977 for sale! My computer wont translate so I have no idea what the deal here is, but it would certainly be great if they were releasing it again.
Heres the site:

Now that is great news to see. It is being re-released...how I know, just looking at the box. That is how Italeri boxings are now, Blue and Yellow bands. Lets just hope the price is decent.

If I remember right when I looked at that it was like $60 something. I hope it changes, or better yet, someone else makes the HEMTT series.

Well if it is indeed a Chinese website, one could assume that the 68 is Chinese Yuan. This converts to only $10USD. Unlikely but who knows.
EDIT: I added it to my cart and it came up $68 with $10 shipping. Dont know if that means USD or not.

Hey guys! M977 models are re-released, however, by a Chinese manufactory. I'm a Chinese and I guess that Italeri granted that Chinese company to produce them again. As you can see, it is titled in Chinese. The price in China is 68 yuan, which really means 10 US dollor. one thing I would like to tell you is that the price of models in China are really low just as this one, but the price would be raise 3 to 5 times when it sell to countries such as USA. But, please notice that the average income of a Chinese people is only 20000 yuan, which means 3000USD, only 1/12 of a normal American's income for a year. So please understand this

That M977 is in stock in my LHS since a looong time ago, it is not a popular model, it is the same with the Italeri M32. It's price about USD 35.00 each, I think. I didn't know the M977 was OOP. Best regards.
