Im trying to figure out what the red canister thing on the passenger side front is.

Doesn't look like a light of some sort. Maybe a fire extinisher ? One of those CO2 / foam kind ? Looks to be about the right size in diameter. Always usefull, an extra fire extingisher .

Nope, that is a 24 volt siren that looks to have been liberated from a fire truck before finding it's way on to the V-100. The M151's from MP companies were usually outfitted with similar sirens mounted on the right front fender, although the two types used were smaller than the one pictured on the V-100.
