Hello All,

During my search for Royal Marine Armoured Support Group Sherman photos (I found very few), I found an interesting box-shaped object on all vehicles turrets. It's behind the vane sight, in front of the turret hatch, right from the periscope housing.

I'm curious of your opinion. What is it?
My only idea: it's a housing or cover for some kind of artillery sighting device, like on the RMASG Centaurs. Only an idea...
These vehicles were troop and/or battery commander tanks, as I know.

So, if you have any better pics, drawings, sketches, or any kind of info, please do not hesitate to share it with me. I'm in the process of building the model of FOX, (the tank on the top picture), and I'm finishing the turret now.

Thank you in advance,
Peter
