Blklem i havent tried this out yet, but for maybe tires or something use Testors model glue and with your finger dab at it for some texture, maybee it would work great for mud. Dont try this on you Tiger 1 yet becasue it might melt away a lot of plastic try it one a older model of just some extra plastic parts. I dono if this really will work but if it does let me know, i just tried it out a little bit on some rubber tires when i accidently drop a drop of glue on them,

What kind of texture/surface is it that you are trying to acheive? This might help in suggestions as different results yeilds different techniques.

I've applied Testors liquid cement to the surface and used the brush bristles to give the surface some texture. For adding the "no slip" coating found on most US modern armor, I've down the same thing with the liquid cement and sprinkled baking soda on the surface to give it the real rough texture.

I have done the same thing to simulate rusty mufflers, except instead of using baking soda I used gounded pastel chalk.
