Hi all,
Just got hold of Bill Chilstrom's "Detailing Plastic Figures" book and he makes extensive use of aftermarket heads and hands. It looks like the majority of heads are Hornet, but wondered where I can get aftermarket hands from, I don't recognise them.
I have all of the Hornet hand sets but wondered who else makes them in 35th scale ?
Thanks,
Andy

I've heard some of the Verlinden figures are oversized, so similarly the hands may also be closer to 1/32 than 1/35. It may not some like much now, but wait till it looks like your figure has wicketkeeper gloves for hands
Alpine Miniatures have also recently released 2 head & hand sets - I'll reviews up here soon. Whilst the heads are German and US, hands are pretty much hands. Previous experience with Alpine figures indicates that their figures are true 1/35 scale.

Thanks for the replies guys,
I had similar concerns over the size of Verlnden hands. Will try to get some of the others though.
Didn't even think of Historex - Duh !
Cheers again,
Andy

Hi Andy
as mentioned, save you looking them up, link to Historex Hands.
http://www.historexagents.com/shop/hxproductdetail.php?ProductCode=30372
Although it does say 54mm, which I believe is 1/32 ???

Historex is probably the best bang for the buck. They work fine for 1/35 and 1/32. Hornet also makes a set that's very nice. Michael Roberts also sells separate hand sets. The hands in DML Gen2 kits are excellent as well.

That will teach me to go lurking around in forums when I think no-one is looking !
Currently slightly stalled on the Vietnam M48 project - got a bit fed up painting green so I am just finishing up a couple of Russians and a (Shh, say it quietly ----- a German !!!). Don't worry, it is just a phase I'm going through, even had to change my signature line below .
Should be back on track soon - nothing else to do, sick of it snowing.
Thanks everyone for the help on the hands, I now have some Historex ones on order and I have it on reasonable authority that they do not look out of place in 35th scale.
The M48 WILL get finished, the M48 WILL get finished, the M48 WILL get finished .........
