I was thinking ahead to a project and want to do an Abrams in Iraq with the TUSK upgrade. I saw a couple pictures of a 3 tone camo'd one that I liked, but nothing upclose. I was hoping someone had more pictures. They seem pretty devoid of markings, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks

If it helps, I am using the Dragon M1A1 AIM and the Legend TUSK kit. I don't really have any specific tank in mind

Frenchy,
Did anyone figure out what the Barrel Name was/is on the M!A1 Abrams in your picture? Seems like the actual unit was known and even maybe the tank bumber number, but just couldn't figure out the name...

Some time ago a topic here discussed what tank is it, but there was no agreement about that. I myself believe it is "Bad Influence" and not "Bad Blessing" as stated by other people, due to the general layout of the vehicle and the positioning of some stuff and stowage.
Anyway, its not easy to be sure... but I still believe it is "Bad Influence"

Jeff
I'll try to give a closer look at the other 35th Armor pics I have when I'm back home from work. I know I've already done that for another modeler but I can't recall if I had finally found out what the barrel name was
The unit is Company B, 1st Battalion, 35th Armor Regiment, Task Force 4-27 "Thunder", 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division.

Is there a pic showing markings at all- tactical markings or anything? Or are they totally devoid? Specifically the camo'd ones
Is the Tusk ii with those curved tiles in service now? That looks really cool

Jason, there is a book about the Tusk Abrams from Tankograd. There are close up pics too, of both versions. Unfortunately I dont have my copy with me right now, but I could help you in a few weeks. PM me if you are interested...

Thanks! I decided to order the book for myself. The Tusk II Abrams looks really cool as well, so I probably will end up building one of those as well.

After relooking at the hi-res image, I agree with you that it appears to say "BAD INFLUENCE".

Question on the top Abrams on the cover...what are the brownish lines on the front of the turret? Is that a replacement for the CIP panels or something?

I think it's the Velcro attachment points for the MILES gear.
