Hi Dimitris
Looks awesome! I'm having the same kit on my workbench, and I too wants to place it in North Africa. BUT! from what I've read, The LWS' used in North Africa weren't "yellow" but light grey! And that the number on the side of the hull was painted on by the brittish, after capturing the vehicle. Do you have any information on this? Or am I misinformed in this matter?

Hi Dimitris
Don't worry about the right color or not. It looks absolutly stunning, I hope mine LWS will come out just half as nice.

Awesome! Really well done paint job on the LWS. I'm doing a LWS after the 232 I'm starting soon, so this is definitely what I'm hoping to do with mine. The dio I was planning was even quite similar to yours, so I may tweak it to give it a different look now.
I wouldn't worry about the yellow colour either. It's a cool "what-if" scenario. (which I don't think we see enough of here)

Very nice dio indeed, and paint job on the LWS is very good
But there are at least 2 issues with the vegetation
- there are no cactus in North Africa
- the palm trees look like more coconut trees, which there aren't either in NA, the most common ones are date palms

Yvan
Are you sure about the "no cactus thing"? I've seen several pictures from the Tunisian battlefield, where cactus' clearly showes.

What product are you using for your water? Water effects scare me, so when I eventually try them I want to be using something decent. Your work with the water is quite nice, so whatever product you're using is doing the trick.

Well, Morroco is in North Africa - and there are cactus there, so why not in Tunesia?

i made the foam with a mix of bales of cotton and silicone
for steel water usually i prefer a material named Envirotex lite(resin)

Maybe my statement was no precise enough, we I wrote NA I thought mainly Lybia / Egypt
You're right the Cactus is from America or Africa subtropical regions
those in Morroco or Tunisia, as well as south Spain were imported
therefore there are cactus fields in Tunisia, but these are plantations, I don't think it's common to see them growing everywhere

That came out as a very dramatic diorama. Lots to look and and keep your interest.
If you could get photos outside or with more light this would really show up better.

As Gregg said,"AWESOME". Very beautiful scene Dimitrus! Mission accomplished!
As far as cactus origins, ID numbers, and to a certain extent-colors, don't let 'rivets' like these get in the way of a good story.

If it says what you want it to say and the viewers enjoy it,then small stuff doesn't matter too much.
Fantastic works!
