Anybody got a photo of either a built/scratched or the real thing. If I remember correctly, there are hydraulic hoses all over that thing front and rear. Just got an academy version and want to be sure. Oh I plan to do a write up on M-60 kits as I'm building a series of them and have purchased several different brands. Just waiting to see what all I win on Ebay and after I can look at all of the offerings from the different manufacturese. Any way, PLease post any photographic evidence you may have

I don't think I have any photos of the hydraulics on a blade tank. We were transitioning from M60A3TTS tanks at the time I was becoming the XO so the blade tank was only "mine" for a short time and I never really took ownership of it.
I do remember that the piping went along the underside of the left road wheel arms to a reservoir that was mounted in place of the left rear sponson box. Another pipe went into the hull via the hull access panel adjacent to the tow pintle. I'll look at some of my books to see if there's any decent shots.
BTW, I'm tracking a couple of M60 kits on Ebay, really just need the hulls. Let me know which ones you are bidding on and I'll steer clear of it so to not jack the price up. I think I've bid on one already. You can send a PM of which ones you want me to avoid.

Hey blaster. I've just completed my Magach 6m which is esentialy a ealy M60 with the Dozer set up. During my research this is what I came up with. only the M728 was custom built with the hydrualics internally. All others had them running under the left side of the vehicle. the route is as follows , from resevoir mounted on left rear fender to the left access panel at the rear of the tank ,. from the that access panel underneath teh hull just ingboard of the suspension arms. unfortunate as I was doing the Isaeli version(which I believe is a converted 728.) I dont have where it attaches to the blade mehanism. the verlinden kit is dead on . If you want I can scan the insructions for you. If your using the Academy kit it gives you niether the resevoir nor operating handle for the locking mechanism.BTW I'm working my way through all the Israeli versions of the M48/60. working on the AVLB right now

thanks case, I had forgotten that Verlinden put out a kit for it. Well mine won't look so utterly fantastik as yours, but I can build a resovior and run some tubing to give it a wee bit better appearance. Thanks guys I got what I needed
