None of my Jane's or other books talk about costs. I'm not sure from the old Soviet system we could talk about costs. I think the closest you'll get is hours to produce and assemble for whatever version you're looking at...

Just a thought.

The only author I'm aware of who quotes Soviet tank prices in his books is Steve Zaloga. There may be a price comparison between the T-55 and T-62 in his Osprey book on the T-62, but I don't have it immediately at hand. He's a site moderator over on Missing-Lynx. You could ask him.

I've been following up on this and right now it looks like these numbers might be embedded in some more recently released CIA documents but these numbers aren't in the abstracts and would be in the actual document themselves. Might be real boring to pull them out. But I'm looking cause I'm real curious too.
