Great diorama. The mix of 'water' affects are really good, ice, snow, slush, gunk (on the floor boards) all good.

The composition and substories are well organized

Thanks guys,

Klinker There are 5 from evolution which i must admit for a new company are doing some great figures which are very fine well detailed and crisp.
2 from Miniart, which well were a let down from such a good company.the others went in the bin.
i think there is a bodi and a verlinden in there as well and a couple of the dml ones from siege of Leningrad.

This is a really nice scene. I agree with Scott, I really like the mix of different winter elements. Snow, ice, water effects.

The layout is also great and it really keeps the eye busy, there's so much to see!

I'm working with an Evolution figure in my diorama and I agree that they are making some really nice stuff.

Good luck in the competition!

I think a strong point is the gathering around the table and there are lots of really great things in this Dio. The odd thing ......and I truely hate to be critical.......is that the tracks and wheels look a little too clean. Not enough ice snow or mud caked on them. Still you get an A+ far as I'm concerned. ...........Al......

seriously, this is fantastic work. If you saw what some of my early dios were like you'd see what i mean. The figures are really well painted, most of my figures are still a lot worse than this, although admittedly i still consider myself to be a begginner as well. The most important thing here is composition. techniques for groundwork and painting can be easily learnt, but composition is an underated skill. Some people just have a natural eye for it, and you appear to be one of them. I doubt i could pull of a scene with so many substories nearly so well. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future!

Was just sitting here with my morning coffee browsing through the site and came across this peice. Dam it all. It made me pull the kero heater closer, Felt like the winter there went right through me. This is real nice. So many little treasures to see that it keeps the eyes moving.

Great scene. The figures are fantastic and really show well.

I don't think I'd want to stand under that piece of roof though. The brown streaks on the tank I assume are where the crew walked around. It looks almost like a camo stripe and too smooth - maybe a few pigments here and there to make it look more earthy/muddy.

It really shows that you've put a lot of work into this so congrats.
