Hi Phil,

Just getting to grips with this uncooperative PC.
It would seem that you are not well served for model clubs in Sheffield according to the world of Google.

There are Model Railway, RC aircraft, helicopter and truck clubs.

As stated above, your nearest active MAFVA branch appears to be Nottingham. BUT note that many areas do not have a branch, but Mafiasi attend local clubs or IPMS branches. IPMS are quite happy to have our guys under their modelling umbrella.

The IPMS rep for Sheffield is:Sheffield
Kevin Smith
157a Old Road, Brampton, Chesterfield
Derbyshire S40 3QL

Drop him a line to see how they are set up. If they suit you, join in with them. The drastic alternative is to set up a MAFVA branch yourself ! All this involves is a bit of advertising in the local model shops and online, see what feedback you get, and if there is sufficient interest find somewhere to have a meeting. Start off in a members house to keep costs down. Let me know by e-mail if this interests you and i can do a search for local members.

Good News.

If you have time pop down to the Nottingham MAFVA Open meeting in Beeston Library, Nottingham this afternoon.

I'll be there with the back issues.
