I FINALLY just got my hands on a Italeri M977 HEMTT and I am requesting combat photos. I've gone the usual route of Prime Portal and such and defenseimagery.mil but just seeing what everyone else has out there.

Anything would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Nice to see your enthusiam Sean.. Tankograd American Special No 3002 Armoured/Gun trucks of the US army in Iraq. Good pics there! I hope to do those beasties this year.

If I'm not mistaken Real model has some AM kits. Search the Guntruck forums I believe Milo and others did some scratch building.

BTW, sorry I've not posted tips yet on your Stryker WIP, work is hell here. Get around to it asap.

Thanks Frenchy! I have decided to not move fourth with this kit. I've got too many on the bench and I really need to finish some projects. Wanna find me some new photos for my M1128 Build

I'd like to Nick, but it seems to me that OIF HEMTTs are not pictured as often as other types of US military vehicles...

In the last pic, those small sand bags on the ground surrounding the vehicle... are they just for outlining parking spaces, or do they serve another purpose?

Hi Hisham, they're probably just marking a parking spot, you won't beleive how picky Sergeants Major can be about truck lines in the motor pool.

Great photos, are there more pics of the gun truck with that strange boxy structure? Are those humwee windshields on it?

I believe it's not a guntruck, but rather a HEMTT carrying a kind of armored checkpoint cabin to its new location, you can notice it also carries razor wire rolls and engineer stakes. But you're right about the Humvee windshields (they are often used on other AFVs like Strykers or AAVs for added protection)

By the way, when you DO decide to start building the HEMMT, I strongly recommend the Pro Art resin after market sets. The cab, chassis, wheel/tires and (in my case) fuel pump set all added another dimension of detail to the base kit.
