Hey Everyone

Can somebody tell me if a T-26 mod 1939 kit exists in 1/35 scale? If it exists, is it any good? Are there any accuracy issues?

If a kit does not exist are there After market options for conversion available? How are they??

I only know of a few T-26 kits (Zvesda, SKIF, Mirage, UM) but have not found any of the mod 1939 version.

Any recommendations, information or comments are welcome! Thanks in advance!!

The closest T-26 that I've seen is the T-26 mod 1937 by Azimut.

http://www.phpshopxml.com/azimut.shop/CID/1f907259952a1c727ad49315f65d3291/function/itemPageDisplay/shopItemCode/BVM35025

and CMK Czech Master makes a gun with mantlet 20 K Model 1934 for T-26 Model 1939.

Actualy the Azimut kit is a mod 1939 as per the turret shape but it's partialy wrong on the hull side : should not be vertical, but with a small angle
so either you need to correct that yourself or get the part from Mirage Hobby T26S / OT134 mod 1939 kit

Btw, Azimut feature the whole kit ( Azimut resin conversion + Italeri/Zvesda T-26 ) under the brand BVM available from Azimut shop .... for the same price

If you go here, down the page you will see a link to a guide for light tank kits.

http://ampsnz.hobbyvista.com/articles.htm

Briefly, most of the available T-26 kits are based on the 1970s Spojnia Polish 7tp kit, with vacuform or resin add-ons. These are mostly junk.

The best kit is from Italeri. It is better moulded and designed from the outset to be a T-26 model. Unfortunately, it is almost 1/2 " too narrow, and the tracks are useless.

Read Trevor's Guide.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'll use them and the reference provided when I'm ready to sit down and tackle this project.

Looks like the Best Value Model is the preferred route. I've ordered through Azimut before and like their service. Thanks again!
