Hi Guys,
attached are some recent photos of the 2 SCR Engineer Troop training with the MaxxPro MRAPs in Hohenfels, Germany.
I am thinking about writing a "In Detail" book about the MaxxPro, RG-31, Husky and Buffalo. What do you think?
Kind regards from Munich
Ralph

Count me as another who would buy one of these books.
I'll be picking up your M1117/M1200 book too!

The RG-31 closely resembles the old Mamba / Nyala that were developed in SA during the 80's... Interesting

The funny thing is that I worked on the initial design & manufacture of these vehicles in South Africa...
I remember watching the destructive tests on the prototypes... now that was FUN!

Hi Ralph,
Thanks for sharing those pictures! A book on these would be welcome and great to hear about the M1117/1200 & M1128 books. Will these be by Concord?
Mit freundlichem Gruß
Sean.

Very cool info. You wouldn't happen to have any photos/info you could share with us?

I'm sure I've got some photo's somewhere
I'll try & make contact with some of my old collogues & see if they haven't got some drawings... bear in mind that these would be for the initial series.

Hi Guys,
I already sold photos of German Bundeswehr Dingo 2, MaxxPro and other vehicles to well-known model companies. Lets see what will end up in the modelling stores.
Right now the predicted sales for a MRAP book are only 600 copies worldwide. Thats not too much but I am in discussion with a publisher.
Cheers,
Ralph

I would think the sales would increase if a kit were available. A timing issue- get it out around the same time the kit comes out. Trouble is, those model companies may not let you know if and when they are releasing them

No joy yet
I'm waiting for one of my friends from that company to get back to me, they haven't built any in years so hopefully I'll be able to get the drawings...
