Finally I'm done. Took me three days to finish it. I'm happy with the results being a scratchbuilt/kitbashed model. Hobby Fan as a kit but the price was rediculous. Something like $149. Way too steep for a model, I think. So I opted to build one. I was limited by only two pics which I savage from on the net. The one on the link below was the only one I had to work from. The ammo box box is slightly bigger than I had perceived but on the whole I think I nailed it pretty good. I've posted a pic.

You can see the rest of the pics . here

It amazes me what you scratchers can do with just one or a few pics to work from.
Terrific job. Where is the camo scheme from? I like it.

Another fine model. Its a pity you cant read whats on the notice board in front of the real thing. A little vignette of the real display would be perfect. Some 1/72 scal trees in the backdrop. Nice one Charles. All the best

Thanks guys. Kencelot, the camo scheme is something I came up after seeing the Danish camo. Simple black on olive green

I thought so too till I was browsing the net to see hat I could to model. You find something odd everyday. That's what I'm all about. Something different, not seen everyday.

Someone had sent me a link to a japanese armor site which shows it being driven behind a truck still looking fresh. So, yes. They are still in service.
I will be putting it in a diorama setting when I get through making a carrier for it - A hummer to be precis.

The towed Vulcans used the M561 Gama Goat as a prime mover. Now THAT would make a nice diorama!

thanks Guntruck. A M561 Gama Goat ? I guess I'll have to look that up. Unfortunately I don't know how that looks like. If it's an interesting model I'll model it.

I'm working on my unfinished modiefied CIWS(Close-in Weapons System) which I started last year but put it off to finish these other models. Will be ready soon. I don't the scale of it but it's a big one. I have unfinished pics of it on the site if you care to see them.

Just saw the pics of the M561 Gama Goat and I must say, they are pretty ugly vehicles.

Gama Goats are interesting - albeit ugly and seemingly not well-loved by some of their users. I purchased the TM's for them a year ago to do my own. Anytime you need some drawings or tech-specs - shoot me an email. I think it a subject that cries out the be done in 1:35th scale. Every armor model should get the Goat! #:-)

You must have a bunch of elves working for you. You turn out some beautiful models in a very short time. Keep them coming. I wonder what the next one will be? I enjoy looking at your work Ti.

Thanks guys. I hate wasting time. I like to work fast and still do a good job. My next models will be the 'Ratac' radar vehicle and a SAM modified launcher.

Holy poo-poo-ake mushroom Ti!!

Incredible work there mate! Now, let me understand this correctly........you said, three days, right!?!
I think animal's figured out your secret, you DO have a bunch of Keebler elves or something working for you like Hollywood gaffer's! Fantastic work there...........
Have you ever thought about putting together these things in kit form? If so, I'll buy one!! :-)

As to the Gamma Goat. I think just about everyone is looking for a 1/35th scale version of that ugly beast, but noone offers it that I know of.

Can't wait to see your next project.

Tread.

P.S. If you ever think about giving Scratchbuilding classes, please allow me to be the first to sign up!

Hey diesel,

What kind of kit is that? A conversion? Scratchbuilt? Is that based on an M35 chassis or an M54?

Treadhead. The model is not mine. It is Ti's model. I just copied it over from his gallery.

Treadhead - The base of the model is an Italeri M923 A1 Big Foot. The masts are scratchbuilt as well as the dishes which are caps from old orange juice cartons that I detailed. It is a version of the mast vehicle used by the U.S. with thier patriot system.
