I've got an Italeri HEMTT in my stash and have plans to build as a gun truck.
As far as I know, the gun mount on top of the cab is the M66 ring mount. Is this ring mount available (1/35) on the market?

You can use the gun ring out of Tamiya's 35231 us 6x6 cargo truck accessory. But you will have to scratch build the mounting legs. As far as I know the US Army hasn't chaged the gun ring that much. Unless someone else know?. Hope this helps.

The M66 ring itself is the same as its always been, but its only one component of the mount. The website is acting funky right now, but the August 2004 issue of the US Army's Preventive Maintenance Monthly magazine has an article that details all the mount configurations. PM me an Email address if you want me to send you the pdf.

Can you send me the web site address for US Army's Preventive Maintenance Monthly magazine. I spent 22 years in the Army Maintenance field and really miss seeing copies of that magazine. I retired in Navy country. Can't find it anywhere out here.

Thanks for all the information. I will get the tamiya set for sure.
It seems I have to modify the cab roof for the ring mount as well.
