OK i need to know what is with all the pointing?
I got three resin figures sets today and there must be four different arms all pointing and some loss hands pointing. Then there is all the plastic figure sets where it seems like at least on figure is pointing . I mean where are other hand singles, waving, flipping some one the bird, picking their nose, a hand with a roll of toilet paper, a fist or better yet a salute!
I has no idea pointing was such a big thing in the military.

lol! I hear ya dude! all I want is a few plastic tank commanders in nuetral poses so I can show some sense of scale. can I find any that aren't reloading ,or pointing, or even worse sitting down outside somwhere so they wont even fit inside a tank.

If you don't like the poses, why buy the figures?

um maybe because they come with more then one arm......
why would i buy a figure that only has one option/pose thats just stupid.
But my point is what is with all the pointing? are the makers that devoid of resources for poses?

Well, there you go. A lifted arm can be modified a lot easier than an arm integrated into the torso, which would require drilling out, and most likely a complete resculpt. A pointing figure also draws attention to a particular spot, seen or not. A lifted arm, one away from the body, allows for a better display of the hang or pull of the garb and serves for a bigger canvas.

This came up a year or so ago and I've slowly been collecting all my pointing german figures since for one big dio where they're all pointing at something and one figure is looking through binoculars. The title of the piece will be I still can't see it

I find this extremely humorous and would love to see it done.
An alternative would be to title it "The New Guy"and paint black circles around the binoculars figures eye. That way it looks like the other guys are playing the old black eye joke on him.

I'll start when I've collected all the pointing German figures in production so not soon
My other idea was to have a pointing figure campaign so eveyone could use up those figures.

The black eye trick never grows old, I laugh every time I see Radar fall out of the jeep after Col Potter takes the binos from his blackened eyes in MASH
