Put the table in between the sniper and the window. The sniper will sit on a chair in front of the table. Modify the window so that the 2 window panels are slightly open (kind of like ^) and the rifle muzzle will be in between the opening of the 2 window panels. The sniper will use the table as his platform. Put a smoking cigarette on the edge of the table (the butt stick out) next to the sniper. Put a wood cross or a small cross necklace on the table (like saving private Rayne, the sniper kiss the cross before kill). Need to modify the sniper to sit position, elbows on the table to support rifle.
Or
The sniper sit on the floor with legs crossed. Use window frame as rifle support. Same setting for the table but on the side.
If the sitting position height is not high enough to use window frame as rifle support, let the sniper sit on the chair to see if that works.
Just my 2 cents
Best Regards,
Steven Lu

Hi Polaris
If you can form another couple of floors in the same materials as you have already used and have the sniper in the top floor with stairs in the recess you have made in the floor try to knock out some small shell holes as if blasted by smaller caliber shells and have the sniper posed on the floor on an old matress or something with the rifle pointed towards the hole but no poking through.
You could have his observer with binoculers, a sub machine gun and a couple of grenades for defending if they get pounced on.
You could even have a German or three trying to creep up the stairs to set upon them.
Just a thought and hope you get some good work going.

I'm with Nige. The sniper wouldn't rest his barrel on the window frame. If you want to leave him in the laying position go with Nige's idea of the large caliber bullet holes with the barrel aiming towards the hole. Put the table over top of him so anyone looking through the window would (in theory) only see the table and not the man underneath. Also put him as far from the hole as possible, this would reduce the chance of anyone seeing his muzzle flash. I'd place him near the far left wall (opposite the window in picture three) with the hole near the floor on the wall with the window.
Anyways that's just my thoughts.

I,d knock a loophole(outside make look like battle damage) in one of the walls back him up a few inchs from it he would be able to make a shoot and see through it and not leave a target of himself. Table and inside leave gear. So far work looks good.
