For all Aussies out there,
Can anyone recommend a good store where I can get clear casting resin for water in a diorama in the Brisbane region?
Thanks

I've used " Volksglas You Fiberglass Centre" at 53 Rowland St Slacks Creek, Ph no 3208 4850
He sell more than just fiberglass products, He has all types of casting & pouring resins & rubber for moulds. Friendly service and understands a modelers needs Hope this helps.

Try here: http://www.armsmodelit.com.au/defaultmain.asp
They're in VIC, but I don't see why they can't do mail order.

I hate to be a parochial Queenslander BUT - Al & Shelly may post things to Victoria but they live here in Qld. They have moved from Kipparing (near Moreton Bay) to acreage a couple of hours further West.
I am sure that they would have something that would suit Jon's requirements.
Jon - I have used a 2 part woodworking resin I found at a hardware store a few years ago. Its name escapes me but it was an A and B clear resin which was a "pour on - self levelling" type. I made a little creek/lagoon which I think is still in my gallery. Only problem I found with it was that it was so good at the self levelling that no ripples came out. It took about 25 minutes to harden and the liquid to set time was so short I missed it

Thanks guys,
I will start calling those stores. I am looking for a flat pond so I don't need ripples.
Thanks agian, much appreciated

Brian,
You're right!!! Sorry about that fellas. I was temporarily confusticating them with an outfit Brad told me about in Richmond. Now, let me go wash that egg off my face

Hey Jon
Try Bunnings also. I have used their clear casting resin to good effect (well I thought so anyways) Forget it's name, but I think it is the only one they stock...
