Greetings guys, they're going to be my next builds..
I already have the kits and some photoetch sets..so here's the run down on questions....please
The RV is for another commission..
- Eduard's 35982 (for Trumpeter ICV kit) Will this do?
- Griffon Model Slat Armour. (for AFV kit) What must I be aware of to make it fit the Trump kit?
- Trumpy's Cupola is much wider than Real Model's version... Which is correct?
Is this because Real Model's kit was designed for AFV's Stryker? While, Tumpy's kit is wider than AFV's..thus the bigger Cupola...?
The CV is to convert to an ICV version.....I guess since it's an improvement from Trumpy's original..?
- Eduard's 35982 or Trumpy's 06603 "upgrade set" will do right?
- Eduard's 35995 Slat Armour..
I know I have to relocate the DVE and make some modifications for the top hull which I'll use AFV Club's kit as an example.. And will be using a spare RWS from AFV Club.
I know that's a lot of work cut out for me and some major rebuilding may be in order.. espeically since I'm using Blackdog's Interior for the RV. Test fitting showed that I may have to rebuild the main flooring.. but then I'm just at the initial stage. I'm dreading the Ramp door details...
THANKS!

Nick,
Griffon Slat no fit to Trump model because this model is shortly and wide.
For that is Trump cupola also big. My cupola is small.
For that I make off new correct cupola for my new RV. This new RV is good for use BD interior (but for small update for RV)

The slat armor is a major buggr-bear (tough). Best to use the correct set for the kit..ie if PE is for AFV kit make it so. Sometimes you can get away with using a set for one type on a different kit, but I have awlways had to make a few adjustments to make it all fit right. The slat armor is something that really requires absolute percision as it all goes together in a continuous band. I haven't tackled mine yet other that put a small section together and it was a real bear. Gonna substitute styrene sections for the brace pieces to ease it a bit.

Thanks Milo & Steve for your replies.
Milo, so Trumpeter's RV CWS is correct size to use on the AFV kit? Your new RV kit looks similar in size.
As in my blog, I'm building your initial RV conversion and compared both CWS, indeed Trumps' version is larger than yours.
Steve, I was hoping someone managed to do some adjustments to the Slat to fit the Trump kit, but it looks like you're right that I should stay with the correct AM for the correct kit...especially in "precision" AM kits.
I know what you mean about the Slat being a $%&@#! I'm finishing up mine on Milo's RV conversion, and the Slat is really boring to do...I really dread the work on precision with such things as alignments
I did more checking on the kits...and my best option is to just modify AFV Club's ICV into an RV, scratch build the top hull parts and use Trumpeter's RV parts such as the CWS and so on.
Thus I won't have fit issues with BD's Interior, Giffon's Slat and Blast-Models' Mounted racks.
What do you guys think?
PS: Anyone got a spare Trumpy RV CWS,etc laying around.. ...yeah right.....
Ok either waste it or have to convert my canibalised RV kit into an ICV....sheeeesh..
