I am about ready to paint this kit. The Trumpeter instructions state that the Tamiya Paint to use for this model should be XF20 which is Medium Grey. Maybe its the colour swab viewed on the computer. It doesn't looks correct. any advice

Hello Paul,

I have used Tamiya 'NATO Green' XF-67 for my Stryker.

(Though I know that it does not match the tone of 'Forest Green' of the US armed forces but IMO it is close to it - in case you prefer to use Tamiya colours.)

Strykers are now being painted Sand as well. Testors Model Master Sand, FS 33531, is a good match.

Gino

Haven't noticed Stryker’s in Sand colour, any pictures and where are they deployed. I am building this model OTB so I don't have slatted armour cage added. I am informed that all Stryker’s in Iraq had armour cage protection. So this model has to be either on exercise or in Afghanistan. Therefore Would I be able to finish it in a sand colour.

Many Thanks

There was a post here a few weeks ago (of course I can't find it now) that showed them coming off the assemly line and in Afghanistan and Iraq in sand. Maybe somebody else will be able to find it.

Here are a few being repainted in Qatar though.
