So I have been getting into some of the older DML figures sets (British SBS, Delta, Seal Team 3, etc.) One question I have always wondered is why they molded the hands with the pistol grip of the weapon they are holding. What was the point? It seemed a lot easier with the kits where you just glued the weapon into the persons hand. Does anyone have an explanation and a good technique for attaching the weapons? Thanks.

I think the concept was that it would look more natural and realistic, as a seperate solid styrene hand could never fully 'grab" the grip properly. The unfortunate ensuing result was you had to then perfectly fit the weapon onto the grip! Usually I just file and bend, then fill, the hand and form it to the weapon, hopefully avoiding the "rubber hand look"....
