Anybody know if any companies out there produce a shirtless german soldier, or a shirtless soldier of any army that could be converted to german?
I'm doing a dio of DAK soldiers at rest, and so far searching for "shirtless germans" on google is producing some *ahem*..... interesting, but unwanted, results.

Hahahahahaha, funny.
Search for shirtless German women, the results are much better.

The new Tamiya offering off the Steyr 1500 truck has DAK soldiers.
One off them is shirtless in drinking position.
Hope this helps!?

Hi
Although not titled as DAK I reckon this is pretty good.
Available from stockists of The Bodi and Corpus figures or direct from
http://www.thebodi.eu/index.php?type0=termek&type1=Corpus-figur%E1k&type2=1/35

In the old Tamiya 25 pdr kit, there are a few shirtless soldiers that could be used.

Yep! This is a pretty easy fix. Can marry the Brit torsos to Tamiya DAK fig. lower bodys and not have to tweak uniform shorts and boots I would guess. Kinda bench multi-pose figgys.

R&J sells a seated figure shirtless ,marked as DAK . I think made by an Italian company.
Boy, wasn't that helpful? ;-)
Anyway, they are out there , there is one in the Old tamiya German tent set, too.

If you can find someone who`s had one of the Dragon Railway Gondola`s they came with a machine gun crew who were both shirtless.I had two but traded them with someone at my club !.

That one is a great tip! The soldier manning the gun is pretty close to the final pose so he wouldn't need much work done. Thanks!

With the supply situation being rather desperate you don't even need to tweak uniform details that much. There's a good studio portrait of a German in full DAK gear. Close inspection reveals that he's wearing a British KD shirt and a Wolseley helmet (The British Army 1939-45 (2) Middle East & Mediterranean, p.47, Osprey Men-at-Arms)
In short(s), anything goes.

Hi
I wouldn't recommend the Tamiya DAK figures considering their age and quality compared to what is available from figure manufacturers today. I believe this set is what Tamiya has been churning out since the seventies and really should be updated. That is unless I'm mistaken and in the intervening years between then and now they did create a new set.
Yuk !!!
Just my opinion of course

Kevin,
Soldati makes a DAK shirtless soldier sitting on a tarp holding a tray of chow. They also make an Italian shirtless figure holding a sub machine waving and shouting if you are interested.
You can find them at Colorado Miniatures.

Tamiya has just rereleased its Steyr truck kit with a set of DAK figures, including a shirtless man drinking from a canteen. They are considerably better than the 1973 Tamiya DAK figures.

If you decide to go with the Tamiya 25 Pdr figures, I have them and don't plan to use them.

That's funny. when I first read the title of the thread i was going to suggest NOT using them. I suppose they'd work but the upper torsos are oddly foreshortened. You need to add a few mm to their abdomens.

Thanks for the offer, but Milvehfan has already graciously stepped up and sent me some figures for free.
