I do apologise. In my haste to inform my fellow modellers of what I believe to be an excellent offer I forgot to follow the correct rules and guidelines for armorama, so thank you for pointing that out.

I’d chosen the Soviet Forum as I thought this would appeal to those that may have an interest in this subject. As a side note it also appears on the web site front page unlike buy and sell.

I have no affiliation to HLJ whatsoever and have never even purchased from them.

Perhaps as you have the inclination you’d like to point this out to some of our other members. Hisham to my knowledge on several occasions has helpfully pointed out new and talked about subjects in stock at various suppliers. Or perhaps you’d like to continue on over to Track Link the source of my information and point out to Max Engel the error of his ways, as he seems to have misguidedly put the post into Forums- News/General and not in the clearly defined Classifieds.

Once again I’m sorry and apologise to the 140 plus (and rising) members who have read this thread thinking anything other than exactly what the title implied, mislead by it not being in Buy and Sell.

By posting I wished to pass on what I felt was a cracking deal to anybody considering buying this kit and be of help to my fellow modellers, that was my intention.

Actually I have bought items from HLJ. They're fine to deal with, but I've only bought Japanese items and never considered their prices any special bargain. Of course, they ship from Japan too, so don't expect speedy delivery.

Well I for one thank you for posting. I used to deal with HLJ all the time, and no, their shipping doesn't really take that long. For a guy like me who buys multiples of everything, the shipping costs are easily negated. At least now I won't have to wait to fly back to Tammie's Hobbies near Portland where there's no sales tax...

Damn! I never realized I was breaking site rules. I always thought the buying/selling forum was meant for members who wish to sell some of their kits, or members looking for a particular kit.. and not for posts meant to bring people's attention to a sale at a store or a new kit which people have been asking about.

I guess I should appologize and say that I'll never do it again... but then again none of the members nor the site owner have ever complained or tried to bring my attention to the fact that this is breaking site rules, so...

And by the way, shipping from Japan (at least from HLJ) takes 10 day to 2 weeks max all the way here to Egypt.. and I KNOW it takes less time to the States.

Ironically, just today I got my Rikuo Type 97 motorcycle from HLJ. They at least package things very well (unlike a lot of ebay sellers.) I've only bought Modelpoint and Pit road products from them so far.
