How would you go about painting ZIL 157 6x6? What colors would you use? I use only Vallejo and Tamiya.
Here in Bulgaria, you see a lot of these lorries. They are being used all over the country by farmers, construction companies etc... You also see a lot of them rusting in fields or on road sides. Needless to say that the paint has faded so much that it is nearly apple green.
So if I want to paint a ZIL that served in the mid-50-60s, I want to avoid painting it that way.
Here you will find 3 photos of one of the ZIL 157 at the Sofia Army Museum. This one is equiped with a Katiusha. This later seems also to be painted with a different color.
