Hi, I have a TPz 1 "Fuchs" A4 here. The question is? Should I put mud underneath it? On the wheels? The situation of the dio should be like this: The AFV is passing by a bridge. The only visible objects are the bridge, the vehicle and the water beneath it. The setting would be in the modern time. If I were to put mud, how thick?

The dio represents a moment in time ....... so if there is mud, it would suggest that that the fuchs had been cross country earlier. Theres no problem with that........ actually preferable in my opinion. You could model the mud as fresh ..... darker and maybe a slight shine of it like its wet, or faded with drybrushing lighter colours as if its been there for a while or a mixture of wet of dry ..... looks great.

How much mud? Uop to you really ...... but heavier mud might fall off in certain places like tires, etc, so some reference might be handy. As a rule, I like mud, but not enough to hide detail. This is one of the cases where "less is more".
Sounds a nice idea though ..... keep us posted!

Well, thanks for the info! Still, I can't make this dio easily. The fuchs is just 20% of thw whole dio. You see, there will be the fuchs and 2 tanks as frontliners. Also an AC is about to attack it.. The hardest part would be the scratchbuilding of the bridge. This gotta be a long one.
