I have a 1/35 Kirin conversion resin kit for a Sherman M4A1 early cast hull conversion that I bought years ago. The Kirin kit contains no instructions and doesn't indicate which kit it's designed to be used with.
Anyone know which kit this Kirin set is made to be used with? The casting of this Kirin set is excellent.
Thanks,
Jeff

Most likely the Italeri hull since DML's original Shermans used Italeri lower hulls. I wonder if this item was what they based their original M4A1(75) early off of?

One point with this kit which has great Casting quality is the turret. It is beautifully cast but really innacuratre. It is neither a high nor a low bustle but sort of an in between bustle turret. They really got that bit wrong which is a great shame as they were great quality casts.
From memory it is designed for an Italeri lower. I'll see if I can find mine tonight and let you know.

Thanks for the reply. Did your Kirin kit come with an instruction sheet?

It is designed for the Italeri Sherman. I did used this kit before and is a breeze to put to gether. used the Eduard PE for the Italeri M4A1 fro the finer details and Academy WW II guns and stowage set for the M2 gun and stowage.
