Here is the latest photos of the DW dio that I have been steadly working on.
I have poured the sidewalk and building supports and carved the sidewalk sections into the surface. I have also begun the long process of weathering the cement before the dry brushing... then comes the fun part.... the enormous amount of debris!
I have been saving every piece of broken plaster and will crush it up with a hammer for use as debris. These photos give you an idea of the layout so far. The building are Verlinden. Street lights are by Tamiya.
Thanks for being interested and keeping up with the project. Hopefully I will see it completed before the end of the month.

With your obvious talent, why do you buy verlinden buildings, or buildings from anybody else for that matter! Your sidewalks are brilliant, why not make your own buildings as well. Then at least theyd all be original and can only improve on what you have here. Maybe a bit time consuming, but must be worth it in result and personal satisfaction.

The whole thing looks amazing. I can't wait to you finish. Even the sidewalk blows me away! I hope I can do a diorama half as good as you. You should consider writing a how-to about it. Thanks for the inspiritation. :-)

It is mostly a matter of time. The scale buildings that are available on the market are wonderful and not to expensive. I have a lot of fun taking a white piece of plaster cast building and turning it into a burned out wreck.
