Ok so they kit has arrived and construction has started (just for kicks I did a size comparison today the assemblies holding the wheels are the same size as the enritre FAMO),
Anyway, is the general consensus that the marking included with the DML kit are correct? My only reference is the Squadron In Action book on German railway guns. They show the K5 in both an overall dark yellow (cover of book) and a dark with with dark brown camo (middle section). The instructions also show an all gray version.
I plan on doing an overall yellow as several photos I've found on the web appear to be overall, minus the "Leopold" markings.
Just curious what you folks are planning and if there is any definitive information out there on painting and markings...
Thanks In Advance....

Nate,
I wasn't sure about posting an ad on here, but I'm now a dealer for Archer Fine Transfers.....they have a set of Leopold markings that looks very comprehensive...lots of tiny stencils. If you want to see a picture, I have one in my ebay store here .

Nate the markings are correct. what I found in my research is alot pics on the web and in books that are marked as LEOPOLD are the the other gun in the battery at Anzio. Thats right there were 2 guns at the Anzio Battery. Alot of references show another gun "Robert"!!!! Hence alot confusion for me on my research. I have found all the colours in the DML instruction are correct in the life of the gun.the only thing I warn about is using pics from Aberdeen for reference. They admit that she was rebuilt using parts from a third K5. So on a final note the only thing Dml skimped on was the little nit picky stencils available from archer. All in all its a good representation of the K5. BTW Nate thanks for my Leoplod gun!!!!! STUG
