Any one have news or an idea when New World Miniatures Black Knight (sorry, I think that is the correct name) update will be available?
Also, when did this version enter service? I am asking because I have a Blast Models US Ranger figure I wanted to use with it - it's the pre-digital camo uniform you may have seen in the the beginning phases of OIF. I am thinking he might be too early for the Black Knight. Perhaps I can use him with the M1117 built out of the box?
Thanks,
Felix

Sopmod6 here said that the conversion probably is not going to be released.

From all the literature I can find, the M1200 Armored Knight contract was not approved until OCT of '08. The newer ACU pattern uniform was made the standard uniform, and the only one authorized for wear, on APR 30 '08. So, no, the older BDU/DCU pattern uniform would not be appropriate with the M1200.

The initial plan was to release this kit at AMPs this year, but NWM has a slew of figures that are slated to be released then. I, just as you, was hoping that this kit or the conversion would be released to the general public, but the figures have taken priority over this. AMPS is just around the corner, and casting the amount of figures for this show takes up alot of time, not to include designing the box art, packaging and all the nice things that come with being a teeny tiny company.
That said, Chris and I have talked about this over and over and the conclusion is there isn't one. One day its yes, the next is "I don't know". That gives a little glimmer of "maybe."
It's a small conversion, but there are a ton of parts, and casting stuff like that is a beeotch.

Hi Guys,
for the M1200 Armored Knight, why not waiting for WWP`s book on the M1117/M1200 and getting Trumpeters M1117 kit and Trumpeters M1127 or M1131 Stryker. I would discard the rest of the Stryker, using only the cupola and the LRAS and scratchbuild the vision ports. That`s why I do modelling. I heard that one good soul planted the idea of the M1200 into Trumpeters head in Nuremberg. These guys REALLY do listen to input from us modellers.
Cheers

The cupola looks similar, but it isn't the same, and putting the vision ports in it won't correct it either. The M1200 version is much bigger in diameter and the bolt pattern on top is different. Thats why I do research.

Hi Arnold,
that you for the insigth. I seen only a handful of pics of the M1200 to date, so can`t make out all the differences. Shame on me.

FYI...
If all goes well with my schedule, this month or next I will commence multiple WIPs of the variants. And since it not commission work, but of my own personal interest - I can very well go all out with these builds..inside and out.
Keep a look out and it may help you some if you intend to scratch.
I could be wrong but who knows maybe one of the plastic companies already have the BK in the works. GOing a bit off subject-I'm suprised that AFV Club or Trumpy hasn't produce a Stryker Interior yet.

Correct I have not yet decided if the M-1200 or the M-1117 will ever be released, it's a bit labor intensive!
There are only three full kis of the M-1200 kits floating around and they are all owned by modelers with the name of Arnold, Sid Arnold and Arnold "The Gun aka Sopmod" Lucero.
I will release the wheel sets, direct order only at $30 a set.
