Hi

I post a reply about this matter but maybe not many will read it as theres a confusion, I receive the T-55 tracks and the are not the same as the old ATM series, ironically I bought thinking them are the same to use it on a trumpeter kit but no, THEM ARE NEW, seems to be a clone of modelkasten T-55 tracks their size wide is of 16.6mm or and agreement between companies, so you must buy them as they fit tamiya kits without problem. As I know all tracks from trumpeter that are been released are new moulds (or modelskasten).

So i hope this can clarify the matter. if neede pictures of tracks just drop a line

Raul,

I replied to your other posting in the thread I started.
If you have pictures that you can share on these new tracks, that will be great.

They look no different than the Armour Track Models set. I doubt they are. Do you have a set of Friul or Model Kasten to compare them with? Compare their width to the kit tracks. I bet you'll find they are too wide.

They certainly look like Modelkasten type tracks to me.

So did the ATM tracks. If these are 16.8MM, then they may be new mold. The ATM tracks are 17.5MM. Just for reference the Model Kasten are 16.6MM and the Friul 17MM. So it does look like they've down sized them.

Tony, in my part of the world...due to the recent and continuous wave of financial crisis, "down sizing" has become a dirty word...

The politically correct term now is "right-sizing"....

Hi

Sorry for delay I have a lot of work, well finally I begin with the tracks so here are the photos

first the trumpeter tracks on brown compared with friul and model kasten

front view

rear view

more views

on tamiya sprocket

the tracks need a lot of fix any mistake and you will throw a lot of pins for nothing so at the end I help myself using a small needle to see if tracks fix well before using the pin, model kasten are easier to use but cost the double and are difficult to get so I recomend them with some reservations

hope it will useful for someone
