Hi guys,
I am looking for some input in regards to using resin heads in place of some of the Verlinden ones in the kits that I have.
I looked at some Hornet heads and some look too small to go with the rest of the figures.
Would anybody be able to shed some light on this for me? How about Tanks heads? Anyone use them on their figures as replacements.
Thanks in advance,
Bill

From what has been said about Verlinden figures is that they tend to be a bit bigger than regular 1/35th stuff. You might want to look for 1/32 heads. Maybe heads from Warriors could work.

The Tank heads might work I got a set and they were too big for the masterbox figures I wanted to use them with.

Verlinden used to box their figures as "1/35 scale/54mm," which is nonsense. In 1/35th scale, a 5'10" man is 50.4 mm high (two inches), so a 54 mm figure is going to be a real "basketball player." For marketing purposes, they also wanted to sell to the 54mm collector market, and their figures were really too large for 1/35th. Human heads do not vary in size as much as human limbs and torsos, so a 1/32nd scale figure won't usually pass for a large man in 1/35th, unless you substitute a smaller head (and 1/35 scale equipment, of course).
I haven't bought Verlinden releases in the last decade, but their older figures all shared this problem (and many are still offered). You can get away with using the oversize Verlinden figures with 1/35th vehicles, as long as you don't mix other maker's figures in.
