It seems from all the reviews I've read about OrangeHobby PE sets, the instructions have much to be desired? In other words, they leave the modeller guessing about how to go about in constructing certain pieces, or where to place certain ones? It's a shame because their products do look good

who carrys OH in the US? anyone know?

That is putting it mildly. You damn near have to study them when using them. I was constantly refering back to them to ensure I had the right pieces....and I didn't! I was lost like an easter egg mor times than I care to admit. I'm just glad I was able to get as far as I did and get the review completed. At least with Eduard PE they break things down into sub assemblies, and then marry everything up at some point later. The OH instructions are more akin to an exploded view diagram/schematic and a crap shoot. Thanks for the suggestion on the cold ones Tim....waaaaayyy ahead of you there. "Q"

Having read the Review - i'm impressed. No, i'm gobsmacked at Matt's perseverance.

It is an impressive set but really with the work and time they put into it, it would have been nice if the instructions had matched what looks like an utterly impressive product. Really brilliant Review!

Thanks for the kudos Jim. It wouldn't take much to make the instructions easier to use. A directional arrow indicating which way is forward, breaking the assembly down into a less than chaotic jumble of images, and separate construction steps for each side listing the appropriate number of parts to use....then make those numbers match what is on the PE frets. Gents, let's keep sight of the fact that OH is a newcomer to the biz. I hope they will read the review and these comments. I have reviewed one of their sets, and the materials are excellent. Sometimes giving someone outside your world directions is harder than it seems - my wife is always telling me I leave out a step ("sorry, I forgot to tell you to turn LEFT before the Sunoco station....").

But OH's travails have resulted in a very well-written review that everyone can relate to - the floor beneath my workbench is a black hole that eats up PE that's been launched into the either by tweezers. Someone needs to invent tweezers that won't propel small metal parts into the air, LOL!

I didn't reply to your inquiry because you specifically said who carries them in the US, but the barrel store carries them; they're located here in Ontario, Canada.

I have purchased product from the Barrel Store and they're very easy to deal with. Be sure to ask about shipping costs, however, as Canada's post office seems determined to discourage cross-border commerce, LOL!

yeah..and vice verse as well.. wonder why? thats why I was looking for a US based source.
