Well for a partial list of extant kits
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/subject/sherman.htm

As for a DD or M32 or a CDL, why would you think DML would leak such information if indeed they were planning such items? One can only hope. But if you're impatient, Resicast makes a DD Sherman, there's the tired old Italeri M32, there are several M31 conversions for the Academy kit (Verlinden, Cal35, Legends) and there's the Resicast CDL turret for the Academy M3 Lee.

A quick search on GMW yielded these two lists, one for Cyber-Hobby and one for Dragon. I guess it is not the complete list yet.

Hope this help a little.

There is the recently released M4 DV to add to the list. There was a hint posted of the pending potential release (is that ambiguous enough?) of the M4A3 late (75)w. How long is the list of M4 variants that still need to be kitted?

Hate to sound like Capt. Obvious and I know it sounds too easy, but why don't you just go to DML's website and look?

Depending on variants, it could be quite a few. There is of course the early dry version of the M4A3, the very early M4A1s withe the M2 gun and the twin machine guns fixed in the hull ala the M3, the various rocket armed tanks, including the Calliope. Of course there are also the various flamethrower versions, crabs, and other engineering versions.

Now some of these have been made in plastic, others in resin (some of those frighteningly expensive.) And conversions exist for many as well. but it would be cool to have them in a way that you could just build them OOB.

Well, they've cut all the molds needed for the M4A3 (75) already, for previously released kits--they only need to print a new box and revise the instructions, so that's a no-brainer [Want one right now? Buy the M4A2 PTO late Sherman and the M4A3 (76) Premium Edition Sherman and swap the turrets. You'll have a late US Army M4A3 (75), and a late Soviet M4A2 (76), though you'll have to scrounge your own markings.]
I suppose it comes down to the Dragon marketing department's internal schedule. They are spreading out the variants of each of their tank series, and scattering less popular variants in between the "must haves." If they saturate the market with too many similar kits in too short a period, many dealers will decline to carry the full line, and many newbie customers will simply be overwhelmed ("Mister, which of these Sherman kits is the best?"). As for needed, unreleased variants, the M4A3E2 Jumbo Sherman would be the obvious big seller.
German builders face the same issue. Dragon has all the molds necessary to release a plain, mid production Tiger I kit suitable for the Kursk period, but instead, they've opted to rerelease their Initial Tiger, which is accurate for one of just nine vehicles issued to single battalion near Leningrad in 1942. A mid-production tank could be seen in 14 different battalions and divisional formations as well as several independent companies from early 1943 through the end of the war, and is obviously a more versatile kit, but for now, we can only soldier on with the older Tamiya "Early" Tiger plus a lot of aftermarket accessories (or kitbashed with one of the Dragon kits).

Since I already have a Soviet M4A2, I bought a formations late high bustle turret to make my M4A3 75 wet.

I don't know how I forgot the M4A3E2. Tamiyas wasn't all that great, and the resin options are a little more than I want to pay right now.

Tamiya did an M4A3E8, it was motorized and closer to 1/32nd, but it was my first Sherman (maybe 1972) I think that someone (minicraft?) reboxed it, along with the Tamiya M36

As long as Dragon don't want to give up on their M4 chassis, they should produce an M7, M10, M36, and an Achilles. I realize Academy and AFV have already released these vehicles, but they all have some sort of issues, and Dragon is one of the few companies I can trust for accuracy.
