Thanks Joshua for the links and Thanks Guy for dropping in.

With the numebr of hits on this post as the build hasn't started proper I would say there is a strong case building for a new all singing and all dancing version!!

Hi Guys,

Well the bolts for the Sherman Boggies arrived so I should be able to do a bit more on this one over the coming days. They are the Lion Marc set which contains about 80 so fitting them should be fun!

If you build this Alan with all the bells and whistles then Tasca and DML are sure to release a new version

- I'm surprised they haven't already but that would be Murphy's Law alive and working well .

Hi Tony,

Thanks early days yet, got diverted by some figures and reviews but hope to crack on soon.

Hi Gusy,

Been awhile since I posted on this, mainly due to The Churchill Mk III build and also I wanted to include the build in the Sherman Campaign. Trouble with stopping in the middle of a project is going back to remember what the plan was, assuming I had a plan lol, lol.

Some purchases to add to the kit.

Point I'd reached

To days work, drilled two small holes to accept the shackles !

I shall now have to go off and read up on the rest again

Hi Guys,

Well to get things rolling again, I cleaned up the boggies and added some of the LionMarc Nuts and Bolts. Much better effort than my original rod nuts.

It will be interesting to see how many I knock off before the end of the build!!

This is looking to be a nice, albeit challenging build. I've wanted to tackle one of these for a while. I'll definitely be following this build.

There is a very good reference photo book produced by MMiR called Heavy Wrecker: A Visual History of the US Army's Wheeled and Tracked Wreckers 1940-45. I highly recommend this book if you are really interested in building a good M32. It includes very good interior photos as well.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the link. I have a set of tech drawings in the MV Workshop book, which hopefully will cover most of what I need, but I'll check out the book.

Cheers

Sure thing, and sounds like you're pretty much set then. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a copy of some M32 tech drawings. Let us know if you need referance of any specific details.

Hi Jeremy,

The Military Vehicle Workshop Pamphlets are about £2/3. Extracts look to be from the technical manuals.

I got mine here:
