I'm trying to make the Tamiya Sdkfz 251 for the Barbarossa campaign. I want to make it knocked out, keeping to my policy that the only good German vehicle is a dead German vehicle. I've got ideas about having equipment stripped off of it and the storage boxes open. The thing is I don't have any ideas on how it should be knocked out. I checked a couple of Osprey books and I found several pictures of knocked out halftracks but none really showed any damage. Other than the old standby of showing a thrown track does anybody have any ideas of what damage to show on one of these?

Thanks Kencelot but my system doesn't like that URL. Could you double check it? I'll try again at work tomorrow just in case.

Already tried that, same results "we can't find ...." Oh well, I'll try it at work, sometimes things work there that don't work here.
Thanks anyway.

How about a busted front axle? You could have it nosed into the ground. Or a good ole anti tank round through the crew compartment?

Kencelot, outstanding! I got that site to work at work. Funny how that works sometimes like that.
Those pictures of the knocked out half-tracks helped a lot. For one thing I found out that the storage boxes on the sides had doors that hinged DOWN, not UP, and that they hung all the way down. It seems that these vechicle could be knocked out without any visiable damage, like blown up road wheels, etc. This gives me some ideas.
Thanks again for your help.

What I've seen done very effectively (not mine) to show a burnt out interior is to build seat frames and added just the coils of the springs where the seat and back used to be. THese were painted to look burned/rusted.

Hi saw model whit flames, and if you do right the dioramas can be particular.
You can put also dead or sick crews nearby and a hole in the tank.
you can also cut part of the body of the tank or burn whit a real fire
