Forgive my ignorance.....But I am drawn to get an LAV to accompany my upcoming Coyote build..

If you want a cheap kit and you’re not worried about accuracy (as this kit does not fix any issues with the plastic one), the Legend ASLAV-25 with Bar Armour conversion is the kit to go for. The casting is of a very high standing, as is the etching of the PE. However the accuracy is nowhere near what it could be. The kit WILL NOT fix the Trumpeter ASLAV's Phase II and III issues. Some parts have been basically assembled from the kit plastic and then cast solid in resin. It also looks to have some of the same PE as in the Eduard set for the Trump ASLAV. Including the mistakes that Eduard made, intentionally or not. The Bar Armour is poorly researched and quite inaccurate on the majority of the parts. There is no correction for the Platt mount either. Witch was a terrible couple of parts in the plastic kit.
A nice addition is the Kangaroo, but it is somewhat oversized for any of the big Reds or even Eastern Greys.
Now if you want an very accurate and unfortunately more expensive conversion kit for a Bar Armour ASLAV-25, (here comes the plug, brace yourself), Arms Corps Models/Mouse House MA125 ASLAV-25 Phase III. And yes it has all of the Phase III bits. As does MA132 (Phase III correction for the Trumpeter ASLAV). It is (MA125) at this time based on the Trumpeter LAV-25 kit. But I am working on a set of new moulds and resin for an unnamed person to do the build and photograph it for me so I can get it out in January. The original MA125 kit will be discontinued for the LAV-25 on the day that the new version is released. Stock notwithstanding.
It comes down to hard corps modeling verses desk top modeling.
