Hey Guys,

I'm working on a Humvee (TOW version), set in Iraq 2003.

I've painted the exterior with Vallejo Model Air 71028, and assumed the interior had the same color.

Looking around on the web, I see a lot of Humvee's have a green interior... But I also found some with a sand colored interior, which makes me a bit confused.

So any advice on the interior color of Humvee's would be very much appreciated!

Thanks!

Dave

I was actually wondering the same thing for my "Humming Along" build.

You will see HMMWV's that are either sand interior or green. Model Master Medium green is almost a perfect match.

Early HMMWVs were manufactured in green so if it got repainted sand, the interior stayed green; however, after Desert Storm, some HMMWVs started getting manufactured in sand depending on the destination unit's war time mission (HMMWVs made for European stationed units were made in green, HMMWVs made for Texas units were made in sand).

Today, you will find a mix of green and sand interiors regardless of the unit.
